They include Léonard Nizigiyimana, Irène Mukeshimana and Antoine Ngendakumana, all judges of the TGI Bururi.

They were informed of the Court’s ruling on Tuesday. It dismissed the public prosecutor’s case and returned the judicial fines that had been requested to the public treasury.

According to a judicial source in Bururi, the Supreme Court confirmed the judgment of the Bururi Court of Appeal of March 22, 2024, which had cleared them.

The public prosecutor was prosecuting these three judges for complicity in undermining the internal security of the State.

Their colleagues have continued to denounce their imprisonment, arguing that these judges were victims of having done their job properly.

They demand their unconditional release.
