The recent mortal remains, as indicated by a security source, were found very early on Wednesday morning on the 3rd avenue in Nyamitanga, in Buganda district.

The same source reports that it is a decomposing corpse of a thirty-year-old who has not yet been identified.

Not far from there on the 7th avenue of Ndava village, according to a local source, two other bodies that have not been identified and are also decomposing were found two days before, so on Monday at nightfall.

On the orders of the administrator of Buganda, all these bodies were buried.

Residents are calling for very thorough investigations to determine the motives and perpetrators of these murders.

Information gathered on site suggests that the victims were killed elsewhere and then brought and dumped in these two localities to hide their tracks.

According to a local source, « the hand of the Imbonerakure (members of the CNDD-FDD youth league) in collusion with agents of the intelligence service in Cibitoke would not be unrelated to these cases of murder ».

The same source reports that « the vehicle of the head of the intelligence in this province is often seen in these places and at late hours of the night. Each time, the next day, lifeless bodies are discovered there and buried on the sly by the youth of the ruling party on the orders of the administrator of this district ».

The administrator of the Buganda district admitted during the pacification meeting held on Wednesday in Nyamitanga that « lifeless bodies are regularly recovered in his district, particularly in the localities of Nyamitanga and Ndava very close to the Rusizi River bordering the DR Congo ».
The statement is far from being exaggerated, since in a period of only two months, 11 unidentified corpses were discovered in this Buganda district.

Pamphile Hakizimana promised investigations.
